Every now and then, we are blessed with special dogs who leave paw prints on our hearts and change our lives forever. If we are lucky, we never really lose them. We notice that familiar spark when looking into a new puppy's eyes, hear echoes from the past in a pup's first bark, and feel an undeniable presence from our past reaching into our future. These dogs live forever in old pictures, treasured memories, generations of new puppies, and deep within our hearts. Big was one of these dogs. He truly was Superfine.
Big's Legacy lives on through his progeny, two of which who took three of the top five placements at the spring Potomac Labrador Specialty in 2014. The Potomac spring show is the world's largest and most prestigious stage for Labrador Retrievers in the world.
Their 2014 show brought one of the largest entries in history with 1489 Labradors.
Blackwing Superslick won Winners Dog and Best of Winners
Grand Champion Blackwing Izzy won Best of Opposite Sex
In 2015 the success at the highest level continued with Ch Blackwing the Spice is Right(Basil)
winning Select Bitch at the Potomac Spring Show .
She is Sired by BISS Ch. Wits End Jacks or Better at Blackwing ( a Big son) .
Basil also was BOS at Miami Valley LRC. While her son, Blackwing Fortunate Son ,
6 months old at the time, was Best in Sweepstakes .
Blackwing Superman “Reeves” was Winners Dog, BOW, Best Bred By , and Best of Breed at Miami Valley LRC 2015.
He was sired by Ch.Blackwing Superfine who continues to produce specialty winning progeny thru his sons and grand kids.
